A Little Missionary Work in Salaverry
I had the great opportunity to go out with some our our super-terrific sister missionaries on Tuesday. We walked the streets of Salaverry chatting with everyone, and shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Gorge, he invited us to his home to teach his family. We helped a brick layer carry some bricks, and shared a message about the family, his family desires to learn more. We sat in a members home and shared the Plan of Salvation with her dear friend, and she has invited us to come for Family Home Evening next week to share more with his family and friends. We played with children, worked a puzzle and played a little volleyball. Finally at days end, we stopped by the Pensionista's home, Estefany, and had a wonderful dinner...

I would say it was a perfect day!
Salaverry is a fishing town, north of Trujillo. As you can see there are boats in the streets right now, getting a fresh coat of paint for the fishing season. The weather is cold and the seas are rough right now, so many of the fishermen can't go out, so we had the opportunity to meet some of them on the streets and share a message.

Elder Garcia leaving for Mexico Oaxaca Mission
Saying good-bye to a wonderful, obedient missionary is never easy. Elder Garcia has served in the Trujillo Mission since March of 2013. He was serving here awaiting his VISA for Mexico. Now Elder Garcia is on his way to the Mexico Oaxaca Mission. We wish you the best, Elder Garcia.

Leadership Training, Mission Trujillo Style
Our Leadership Training was excellent this month.
One of our future missionaries, Gorge shared his testimony with us. At only 8 years old, he has a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and the power of prayer. Recently he had a year end final exam and prayed very hard to pass the test...he received 100% on the test, and gave thanks to the Lord for his passing. We hope families everywhere are preparing their sons and daughters to be ready to share their testimonies with the world.

VISA Waiters arrive in Trujillo
It seems like months since we met these wonderful missionaries at the MTC in Provo, oh yes, it has been months! Two month ago we met this wonderful group of missionaries, they have been serving in California and New York until they received their VISAs to come to Peru...and were they ever happy to be here.
