A favorite holiday in the United States is Thanksgiving Day.
On this day, everyone slows down a little, businesses close,
family and friends gather,
everyone expresses their gratitude for their many blessings,
and they eat a big Turkey dinner with too much food.
The tradition lives in Trujillo!
Sister Vaughan helps display the food.
…and everyone else starts eating.
Sister Arana, Sister Moore and the office staff all joined in the festivities.
Elder Leavitt demonstrated the correct way to arrange your Thanksgiving plate to Elder Antuña
who enjoyed his first Thanksgiving Feast.
Matt and Molly Tenney joined us this year, only one day before returning home to the U.S.
Matt is done with his internship here in Peru, we will miss you.
The Fenn's enjoyed the evening…when is the temple open house and dedication????
Do you think that Elder Smith was explaining the legal complications of an Argentine and a Peruvian having Thanksgiving dinner? We hope Elder Cano and Elder Antuña will take this tradition back home with them…what a lovely tradition, a day set aside to just be thankful.
After a luscious meal we all gathered to share all we were thankful for, each other, friends in Peru, our wonderful missionaries, our families at home that love and support us, the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives, and his atoning sacrifice for us.
Then we introduced the Christmas season by decorating the tree.

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all, we hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving, and that you remember to be thankful to your Heavenly Father every day for all that He has blessed you with.
We hope you enjoy this holiday season, and focus your time and efforts on Jesus Christ…
