2 Years Already? Another group preparing to return home.

22 Missionaries are in the mission home,
ready to go home to their families after
serving for 18 months to two spectacular years!

Those leaving include, Sister Wisa, Sister Degracia, Sister Guevara, Sister Huayton, Sister Sarat,

Elder Brown was awaiting his visa and was in the MTC when we arrived in June 2013.
A few arrived in Peru right before we did.
A few arrived right after we did.
…and the sisters came 6 months later.
It has been a wonderful 2 years together.
This will be the last group that ever goes home from the Trujillo Peru Mission.
We love you all!

Activity Day with Casa Grande, Viru and Primavera Zones

Every once in awhile we plan a day where 3 zones meet with the Marler's for an activity day.
We play mush ball (an oversized softball), futbol (soccer) and this time, ultimate frisbee.
It is always a great time for missionaries to meet up with old companions, meet and get to know
the new missionaries in the mission.
…and play with the Marler's
Casa Grande Zone welcomed the Volk family in style.
They all posed with their new best friends.
Sister Cossio and Sister Maskovich, waiting for the games to begin.
 Baseball anyone?
 or is your game soccer?
Sister Nuñez started off the game with a 1 base hit.
Team Haacke, is ready for a great game of ball.
But team Heward, looks a little tougher.
Elder Ojeda enjoying a little sand time during the soccer game.
Hope with Elder Haacke up to bat.
Jenny had the camera and took so many pictures today,
go to Sister Marler's Facebook page (album entitled Activity Day June 1) to see pictures of all the missionaries from Casa Grande, Primavera and Viru.
New BFFs, Elli and Sister Harris.
Sister South, Sister Rosado and Sister Cossio

Aiden playing soccer with the "big boys", made a goal too, hero of the day.
Elder Miller and Elder Grant dug a huge whole so they could let in a little sea
water, Elder Grant wanted to "be in the ocean" for the 2nd time in his life.
Elli enjoyed playing with the Elders and Sisters.

Sister Bronson, Sister Cervantes, Sister Mazzei and Sister Nuñez, just enjoying the surf.
What a great looking group of missionaries.
 Zona Casa Grande.
Zona Viru.
A few Primaverians gather for pictures.
Elder Duque, Elder Alverez and Elder Weber.
End to a great day.

Leadership Council - the first of some lasts

Elder Winterton sang for us one last time, he goes home in June.
As President Marler said during the meeting, we will miss him and the beautiful voice he shares.

A training by Elder Brown and Elder Haacke, our last council meeting with him as our Assistant,
Elder Brown also goes home in June.

Some missionaries will be in the new mission before we have our next Leadership Council,
and there will be others that will arrive from the Chiclayo Mission.
President Marler shared a spiritual message at his last Council of his 2nd year as a mission president.
Sister Guevara goes home in July, and spent some time just visiting with good friends
and getting lots of hugs! (w/sister Tulumba, Bravo and Assef)

Elder Singh, Elder Rereba, Elder Winterton and Elder Andia.
Spaghetti from the Gingo Loco Restaurant in Trujillo
And one of the waitresses of the hour, Sister Angell.
Everyone enjoy lunch before running off to have pictures taken and to play futbol.

and let the game begin….

Watch out Elder's, Sister Rejala has played professional futbol!

Now Elder McClelland makes quite a fashion statement with those socks, while Elder Garcia and
Elder Gonzales dig in a play hard!
 Waiting on the sidelines.
Elder Winterton will go home with a few less brain cells.
Elder Heward and Elder Claros face off.
I really hope Elder Bates is the goalie since he is running with the ball in his hands.
Or perhaps he is getting ready for next football season at college!
Elder Bates also goes home in June.
Sister Hidalgo and Elder Garcia, did they get the goal?
