Pensionista Conferences

Pensionistas met from around the mission to receive training on nutrition
and care for our missionaries.
We help our first meeting in Chimbote...
The Chimbote Pensionistas show their Trujillo Temple Key-chains.
Our second meeting was held with the Pensionistas in Trujillo.
Sister Marler gave a training on nutrition, and balanced meals.
Probably poor timing, but we homemade cake and cookies after the presentation on nutrition.

Gracias por su servicio, gracias por su amor!

Nosotros Amamos Nuestra Pensionistas

"We Love Our Pensionistas"
This was the theme of our Pensionista Conference, and a wonderful time was had by all.

The training by President Marler and the Assistants, Elder Antuña and Elder Zavaleta and Sister Marler were received well.   The Assistants spoke on the rules to help Missionaries have happier, healthier lives.

Sister Marler taught about nutrition and the planning of a variety of delicious meals.  Missionaries, take some time to share with your Pensionistas the food you like.

Many of the Pensionistas bore testimony of the great blessing it is to have the missionaries in their homes.  They love their callings and they love their missionaries.

We finished up the meeting with Cakes and homemade cookies.  Alicia made Peanut Butter Cookies and Chocolate Chip cookies from Sister Marler's family recipes…which are now included in the Pensionista Guide Book.

Missionaries Love their Pensionistas

Wednesday we had our Pensionista Conference in Chimbote for all of the wonderful Pensionistas in the Chimbote and Casma Zones.

For those of you in the U.S.A. who don't know about Pensionistas, let me tell you a few things.  These lovely ladies are called by their Bishop to serve as the person who keeps our missionaries happy, healthy and well fed.

The Pensionista and her family, become a second family to the missionaries as they serve in her area.

Our Pensionistas are such a blessing to the Peru Trujillo Mission.  They are eyes and ears that help our missionaries stay healthy, and many of them spend some of their daytime hours accompanying the missionaries on their teaching appointments.

Thanks to all of our wonderful Pensionistas, we are so grateful for your service.

Next week we will meet with all the Pensionistas in Trujillo, Viru and Casa Grande
