Missionaries take friends and neighbors to the Temple.

All of our missionaries have brought neighbors and friends to the temple open house.
It has been such a blessing to introduce everyone in Peru
to the Trujillo Temple.
Elder Singh and Elder Andia visit the temple with friends.

Elder Alfaro with a family he baptized.

Elder Walther, Elder Rereba, Elder Hinmann, and Elder Solarzono are all smiles as they share the temple with others.

Elder Soliz and Elder Jackson share the day with a family they are teaching.

Elder Garcia and Elder Miller share the day with friends from Viru.

 Waiting to enter the temple.
While waiting to enter the temple, everyone is invited to watch a short video on the
History of Temples and the importance of temples in our lives.
Sister Utley and Sister Tonga with the Verbeeks, also from Viru.

Elder Aguilar and Elder Johnson greet a friend.

Elder Mendez, Elder Orihuella, Elder Stephens, Elder Calderon,
enjoying some time with those they are teaching.
Marler's with the Vergel family.  The Vergel family have lived next door to the mission home for
many years and are wonderful friends with many of the past presidents and their families.
It was a please to join them on a tour of the temple.

The Sisters begin serving at the Trujillo Temple Open House

We started the Open House with one more training,
last minute instruction and a Q&A period.
We then gathered at the temple grounds for a meeting with Elder and Sister Richards, Elder and Sister Uceda, Brother Carbajal and the temple President and his wife, President and Sister Casós
We of course, took time for a pictures.
After the meeting we gathered in the Reception Area.

In the center back is Elder and Sister Richards of the Seventy, over temples.
President ans Sister Casós stop and pose by the picture of Jesus.
Sister Gallacher's Grandfather,  and Brother Carbajal are long time friends, so they stent took a picture to send to Grandpa!
Brother Carbajal is assigned to organize and help with the Trujillo
Elder and Sister Richards, visiting with Brother Hirchie from the Church's Public Affairs Department,
here to make sure everything gets off to a good start.
The Sisters enjoyed visiting together before the tours began.
It was a beautiful day!

A few photos of those who went home on Tuesday.

As I mentioned previously, we did our transfers a little differently this time.
Some missionaries opted to stay for the Trujillo Temple Open House.
The Sisters spent the week working on the temple grounds
and the Elders, they brought some their
investigators, and recent converts to the temple.
They had an amazing week.
On Tuesday, after a wonderful lunch,
we went to the temple together.

President and Sister Marler took the missionaries on a personal tour of the temple.
It was a wonderful way to spend our last day together.

There was time for a few good-byes in the Reception area, with some of the Sisters
who were serving at the temple.

Elder Guillen, Elder Ccama,Elder Arias, Elder DeLaCruz, Elder Iturralde,  Elder Barrios,
Elder Meza and Elder Huallpa
..and time for a few last pictures.
Elder Buehner, Elder Tejada, Elder Guillen, Elder Ccama, Elder Hernandez, Elder Huallpa, Elder Meza, Elder DeLaCruz, Elder Barrios, Elder Iturralde, Elder Arias, Sister Ascencio and Sister Jolley.
Sister Hansen and Sister Jolley, the two St. George Sisters…enjoying one last good-bye.
…and then it was off to the airport.
Where we were met by many members who love, love. love the missionaries.

Then there are the last hugs...
 …a few tears.

Will sending home missionaries ever get easier?
I don't think so, every missionary takes a piece of your heart.
