Manos Mormonas que Ayuda

Mormon Helping Hands Day in Trujillo was a huge success.  We estimate over 2000 members were present, working with an organization, "Clean Beaches", to clean Huanchaco Beach before the spring and summer season.
Each of the 7 stakes of Trujillo were represented at the beach clean up and missionaries served along side their wards and stakes to provide this wonderful service.    Here Elder Going and Elder Becerra work with the Barrio El Alto from the Laureles Stake.
Elders Sato, Ataurima, Iturralde, Passey, Bramble and Perkes
Sisters Bravo, Gonzalez, Afoa, Shreve, Assef and Huata get ready to clean up the beach.
The purpose of Mormon Helping Hands across the world is for members of the Church of Jesus Christo of Latter-day Saints to serve and beautify their community.
Many times working along side government leaders, and other community service organizations.
This group of Elders was born ready to work hard and serve well, Elder Caro, Elder Walker, Elder Callata, Elder Orihuela, Elder Vimahi, Elder Claros, Elder Obregon, and Elder Ojeda
Hermana Sosa and Hermana Yaqui are getting ready to sweep the sand, you heard me right!
I thought I would show a picture of Elder Diaz sweeping the sand, I am not sure why the brooms on the beach…the sand is endless, but it made for some great pictures!
Elder Davis, Elder Spencer, Hermana Alzamora, Hermana Lasike, Hermana Casteñada, Hermana Hidalgo, The Marler's, Elder Tway, Elder Diaz and Elder Zacharias…ready to work.
Working together, Presidente Davila and his counselor, Presidente Marler and Presidente Tapia working tougher with Public Affairs director Walter Solis, for a wonderful MHH Day.
Elder Mendoza, Elder Pre, Elder Pacheco and Elder Diaz
getting ready to clean Huanchaco.
Sister Dahua and Sister Reynolds, enjoying a few minutes together in the sun before the work begins.
Sister Christensen and Sister Paiva at their last service day as missionaries.  Sister Mejias  a friend of all missionaries joins them with Sister Gonzales and Sister Huayton.
I love these smiling faces!
Sister Steckler and Sister Portillo in their matching companionship shirts…really awesome, and the front side, a picture of the Trujillo Temple.

President Marler and Presidente Tapia of Estaca Este, amigos por eternidad!
Elder Capcha and Elder Andia with Pueblo Libre.
Elder Aguilar, Elder Tway in a sea of Mormon Helping Hands!
Members from various stakes gathered for this great day...
Members show their helping hands, clean and ready for work!
Sister Shreve, Sister Baldeon, Sister Afoa, Sister Assef, Sister Steckley, Sister Grow, Sister Portillo and Sister Gonzalez, can't wait to start working.

…and now the service begins…2000 members marching with trash sack, rakes, shovels and booms.
Families,
 ward and stake members,
children, youth, and parents,
and missionaries,
All working together for our community.
 a beautiful, excellent day!
