Here we come…home again

So here we are at the airport, ready to send some of the Lord's finest missionaries home.

What  a great tradition to have so many of the ward members come to send the missionaries home.
It is such a wonderful experience to have them all together and watch the loving appreciation in the eyes of those who have recently been baptized.
Sometimes  a family knows many of the missionaries, in this case the family of one of our pensionistas (that is the family that cooks for the missionaries)
The missionaries become a loving part of their family.
A blessing for both he missionaries and the families.
It is wonderful to see the joy and smiles in everyones eyes.
What a wonderful blessing to help bring another person or family to Jesus Christ

Sister Rojas and Sister Huaman sisters forever!
one last picture and it is off to Lima...
It was a great two days with these wonderful missionaries…
and now they are on their way home.

It is that time again…missionaries returning home...

We have spent 7 wonderful months with these fabulous missionaries.  We will love and miss you all.  What a great privilege it has been to serve beside you!

Every time our missionaries go home, we have a dinner of American Hamburgers cooked by President Marler and our Assistant Elder Smith.
Then we visit for awhile and then have a testimony meeting.
This is always a highlight, to hear our missionaries
testify of Jesus Christ our Savior.

Sister Rojas and Sister Huayman smile for the camera.

"And if it so be that you hold labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bing, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!

And now, if your joy will be great with one soul that you have brought unto me into the kingdom of my Father, how great will be your joy if you should bring many souls unto me!"
Doctrine and Covenants 18:15-16

Yes,

The things we take for granted

Last week at our leadership Council meeting we had Rootbeer Floats.  We were surprised it was a first for many.  Most of our missionaries loved them.
Elder Leon, Elder Hernandez and Elder Ferreira loved their floats!

We take so much for granted, root beer floats, hot water for showers, variety…
Maybe we can blog some of these must haves another day!
