Karen and Steve come for a visit...President Marler's Sister

We had the great opportunity to visit Steve and Karen as they served their mission
in the Spain Barcelona Mission.
We had a wonderful time, visiting with members, attending activities with their young adults
and missionaries.
We were so excited to have them come to Peru to visit the Peru Trujillo Mission,
We started the week singing at two baptisms
and having dinner at our favorite Italian Restaurant, La Tocana here in Trujillo.
Sunday, we attended a Sacrament Meeting where President Marler spoke.
We then went up to Casa Grande and spent a day at the beach,
The Casa Grande Zone had their Zone meeting on Wednesday (see other blog entry for pictures)
Thursday we went to Chimbote for our final Multi-Zone Conference.
The McArthur's participated in the meeting and loved being with the Elders and Sisters.
That evening, Karen and I went teaching with the sister missionaries,
Sister Lopez and Sister Alfaro.

Steve joined Elder Jackson and Elder Volquez, teaching some great lessons.

We came home on Friday afternoon, stopping by the Viru Castillo
our tour guides were local members, Hermana Carlos and Sister Tania.
We also visited their Chacra, tasting fresh guaba, maracuyá, limes, and seeing the rest
of the crops on their farm.
This is a picture from the Castillo, looking back on their Chacra.
Today we had a good-bye party for Elder and Sister Padilla, who will be going home next week.
We went to a restaurant that had Marinera Dancers.
The company was terrific, all of our senior missionaries joined us (see Facebook for more photos).

Saturday, March 14, we had a practice for the Fireside in Casa Grande,
baptisms and speaking in the Este Stake Conference.
Elder Beuhner, Elder Oviatt and Brother McArthur

Sunday we had Stake Conference and then the Charla Fogenera.

 A last good-bye hug...
Thanks Karen and Steve for singing, teaching, loving our missionaries,
and for talking with us as we enjoyed "being home in Peru."
We are thankful that families are forever...
