Training for District Leaders

We had our first District Leader Training.  It was a great success.  Trainings were included on the subjects of how to have a great district meeting, the best way to go over the key indicators and some wonderful spiritual messages.

The District Leaders have time to plan and practice what they will teach to the other missionaries next week in their District Meetings.

After Elder Zavaleta and Elder Antuña's great lesson and demonstrations by other Zone Leaders (Elder Zacharias and Elder Tway) everyone is ready to be even better in their assignment.

On their way home…a slide show

Here is the slide show for our departing missionaries.  We had a wonderful dinner tonight.  Brother Son (Elder Dennis' family is here) helped the Assitants make hamburgers on the grill!

We had a Family Home Evening with the missionaries.  It was a treat to have Elder Dennis' parents with us.  President and Sister Marler gave the missionaries some last minute advice, shared their love with them and sang a song or two.

The highlight of the evening was having all of the missionaries share their testimonies, their love of Jesus Christ and gratitude for this wonderful experience they have had serving here in Misión Trujillo.

We concluded with a slide show presentation of these terrific Elders and Sisters….

We send you back to your families with our love, admiration and gratitude.

It is that time again…missionaries returning home...

We have spent 7 wonderful months with these fabulous missionaries.  We will love and miss you all.  What a great privilege it has been to serve beside you!

Every time our missionaries go home, we have a dinner of American Hamburgers cooked by President Marler and our Assistant Elder Smith.
Then we visit for awhile and then have a testimony meeting.
This is always a highlight, to hear our missionaries
testify of Jesus Christ our Savior.

Sister Rojas and Sister Huayman smile for the camera.

"And if it so be that you hold labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bing, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!

And now, if your joy will be great with one soul that you have brought unto me into the kingdom of my Father, how great will be your joy if you should bring many souls unto me!"
Doctrine and Covenants 18:15-16

A Farewell Video

Tonight we had a great evening, dinner for 20, and a wonderfully spiritual meeting where each missionary shared their testimony of the Savior.

Tomorrow, transfers, changes, and 17 Elders leave for home.

We will miss our great missionaries, and pray for their success as they return home

We love you all...
