Every once in awhile we find time to visit an historic site here in Peru. This is the area around Chimbote, about 3 hours south of Trujillo.
This is the view from the top of the Huaca Castillo near Chimbote. It is surrounded by beautiful farms. We walked through many of these farms to find the Huaca, met some wonderful people and visited along the way.
We have more ruin within our mission than any other place in South America. We really enjoy visiting the different sites and learning little more history about the people of ancient America.

We found many pieces of Moche pots and bones. We posed here with one of our "new found friends."
