An Hermana Downs Sighting

Mondays are Preparation Days (P-days) here in the Trujillo Mission, that means the missionaries have time to write their parents, clean their rooms, do some shopping, play soccer (we are in Peru, a p-day without soccer is like a day without sunshine).  There are various p-day zone and district activities, and quite often they include a visit to one of the near-by historic ruins.

But Monday, January 27 was really special for some of our missionaries…there was a special district meeting within the Palermo Zone… over Skype with Sister Downs.

They all came to the mission home, and of course we took a few pictures.

 Here is Sister Downs giving her companion Sister  Gonzales the customary greeting, a kiss on the left cheek.

UPDATE: Hermana Downs is serving as a full time missionary in Alabama Birmingham Mission as a sister trainer.  She is training Sister missionaries in the mission.  What a blessing to be able to keep working while she awaits her return to us!
