Marriage...why?

Yesterday I had the opportunity of meeting 6 missionaries from other churches who are here serving the people of Trujillo.
Most are here for only a few weeks, but others are here to serve for years.
They are here to teach the Bible, and principles of Christ to the people here.
One of those principles is the Principle of Marriage and the Family.
Many people here are not married, they live together for years, have a child or two,
and many times move on to other relationships.
To God marriage is sacred, Marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God, and is central to God's plan for the salvation of His children.
We have the honor of teaching this divine doctrine and participating as families are not only
married civilly, but also sealed in the temple for all eternity.
Marriage protects children and gives them a sound foundation in life.
When a family is sealed in the temple by an authorized priesthood holder, the marriage can be eternal.
Husbands and wives are to love each other, support and sustain each other.
They are to honore their marital vow with complete fidelity.
Husbands and wives are to strive daily to keep the commandments of God,
and to commit to keep their family together forever.
