One of the things we emphasize in the mission is temple attendance.
We love to be with our missionaries in the temple.
We love to see those we have taught, come to the temple and receive the sacred ordinances and covenants they need for their eternal exaltation.
The only place to receive these gifts, or endowment from our Heavenly Father, is within His Holy Temple. These ordinances are performed by a person who has the authority to act is God's name,
this is called the power of the priesthood.
Eternal marriages are also performed in LDS temples around the world. We call this being sealed.
This is when a man and a woman are married, or sealed together in the temple, making a sacred covenant with each other and the Lord to be faithful and true.
If families remain faithful to their sealing covenant they will be together forever,
not just "until death do you part."
In the temple, we worship Jesus Christ. We learn of Jesus Christ, and of His atoning sacrifice for us.
Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of our Heavenly Father,
and the Savior of the World.
In the temple we not only do ordinances for ourselves, but also for our ancestors. The ordinances of baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost, the Endowment and Sealings are performed for our family members who have passed away without receiving this saving ordinances.
They are then free to accept the ordinances done in their behalf if they so choose.
In the temple we learn about God's Plan of Salvation, make covenants, and are blessed.
The ordinances and ceremonies of the temple are simple.
They are beautiful.They are sacred.
The Temple is a place of personal revelation, a place to find peace and solace during times of trial and difficulty.
We prepare to receive personal revelation through regular scripture study, prayer, obedience, fasting and church attendance.
Those who desire to enter the temple must be worth to do so.
Keeping God's commandments develops our spirituality by becoming more like Christ.
