One of the blessings of our mission is to take advantage of the wonderful culture here in Peru.
Within our mission boundaries we have many Moche, Chimu and Inca ruins.
These date back to 200 year before Christ, to 1200 years after Christ.
Chan Chan was one of the largest Moche cities.
Elder Ramirez, Elder Drescher, Hermana Rosado, Hermana Gallardo, Hermana Nielsen and Hermana Thruston enjoyed a wonderful day at Chan Chan. |
This picture shows some of the excavated ruins at Chan Chan. This served as a temple for the Moche people. |
This shows some of the unexcavated walls, we have ruins like this all over our mission. They look like mounds of dirt and sand, but underneath are treasure of the past. |
