Training for District Leaders

We had our first District Leader Training.  It was a great success.  Trainings were included on the subjects of how to have a great district meeting, the best way to go over the key indicators and some wonderful spiritual messages.

The District Leaders have time to plan and practice what they will teach to the other missionaries next week in their District Meetings.

After Elder Zavaleta and Elder Antuña's great lesson and demonstrations by other Zone Leaders (Elder Zacharias and Elder Tway) everyone is ready to be even better in their assignment.

Activity Day with President and Sister Marler

The Esperanza, Laureles and Central Zones enjoyed their P-day with President and Sister Marler.

Elder Leavitt taught us to play "Human Fuze Ball"
Elder Huallapa and Sister Paiva go for the Gold!

and Sister Marler lead some team building games and activities.
One of the team building games is called the Centipede Walk…here we have two teams on boards and the teams need to work together to get to the end of the course.  Elder Singh is doing a terrific job with his team, all working together!

Then we have Elder Claros' team, as you can see without teamwork (note the tail of this centipede) there is no success.
Another favorite game is the "A-Frame"
Here the team helps one person "walk down the course"

We divided in to teams for a tug-of-war

Of course, we are in Peru and our activity day had to include time for soccer and kicking an American football.

Elder McClellan performs a little parkour
…and of course this activity day had a little jump rope competition…winner…Hermana Portillo

and a great group photo of everyone.

Thanks everyone for a perfect day.

 Now it is siesta time!
